Al Minns was a core member of the famous dance troupe "Whitey's Lindy Hoppers." He was an extremely influential jazz dancer, known for his energy, athleticism, and flexibility. He appeared in several films, including "Hellzapoppin", "Hot Chocolate", and "The Spirit Moves", as well as countless stage and television performances. Al Minns was also a dance instructor, teaching lindy hop in New York and Sweden in the 1980's.
